Although Ive had a pretty busy schedule recently, i found a spare couple of hours to start work on designing “The Kubrick Collection” a small follow up project to my “Modern Hitchcock” Series from the previous year. The First poster is “A Clockwork Orange”
I have just been lucky enough to get the chance to design a poster for an american indepentant film called “Dichotomy” by British born Director Jay Purcell.
I have just watched the film, and without giving anything away its a well written, directed and acted.
More on this as i develop the job, but here is the link to the very talented Jay Purcell’s Webpage
Below is a poster i was asked to design for Cardiff Nightspot 10 Feet Tall.
I was inspired by the combined illustrative and clean gut typographic layout of the Fabric Live posters, one of the main things that inspired me to take up graphics.

this is probably one of the most intresting and bizarre adverts i have ever seen.
created by European design/ad agency Optix it shows the relationship between the different currencies of the world, i can’t really do it justice by explaining it so watch for your self.
This is a quick personal piece i designed in appreciation and love for Jame Bond movies, especially Goldfinger.
Created in an abstract montage and constructivist way using a limited colour pallete, it displays the film in a totally new and interesting way.
One of biggest and most exciting jobs yet was to create an illustration for The Big Chill, Via Bleach and in conjunction also with Amnesty International.
I attended the event at The Big Chill House in Kings Cross London the other night and managed to talk to some amazingly interested and talented people.
I was highly previlidged that they had asked me to be one of the 30 illustrators to take part alongside names such as Si Scott, Steve Wilson, Chrissie Abbott, Joe Wilson and Matthew Dent to name but a few.
The work i created was very well recived and is being used as flyers all around the country, Billboards in Major UK cities and Magazine and Newspaper adverts…(Already appearing in The Guardian)

But now the end of uni is here and im trying to make the big decision of whether i can survive as a freelancer (Financially).
Sure the money and the jobs are great when you get them, but the hardest part is doing just that.
Ive been working in a studio for the past couple of months and realised almost straightaway that i wanted to be my own boss and have my own creative freedom. Ive also drawn up a huge list of ideal clients that i am going to offer my services to.
Ideally i want to concentrate on Illustrations for Music, Editorial and general cultural pieces.
If anyone out there reads this and knows of anyone looking for a freelance Designer / Illustrator please get in contact, also if you represent an
